Today, the 21^st October 2015, our friends at the PAH breast unit are celebrating having raised £2 Million for the breast unit at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping and The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow.

The 21^st October also marks the day that Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown time travelled to from the year 1989 in the Hollywood hit movie ‘Back to the future II’. Even though we are not all using hover skate boards (yet!), an aspiration of changing the course of time can sometimes manifest itself in real life and prove that dreams sometimes do come true.

During the 2015 Istanbul International Boat Show between 6^th-11^th October, Sunseeker Turkey had a fantastic platform on which to welcome new, existing and potential clients. The 6-day yachting event in Istanbul marked the 35th International Boat Show, which anticipated over 30,000 visitors.

Guests were welcome to view the Sunseeker 86 Yacht as well as the Sunseeker 55 Manhattan on display in front of the Sunseeker stand, or enjoy VIP hospitality in the spacious Sunseeker hospitality lounge. Sunseeker Turkey described the amount of inquiries as ‘increasing each year’ during the Istanbul Boat Show.

A few days before the boat show, on the 2^nd October, Sunseeker Turkey attended The Yacht Walk in Suada-Galatasaray, where twenty boats from various boat manufacturers were premiered before the Istanbul Boat show. It was a fantastic sight to see our Sunseeker 86 Yacht light up the Bosphorus, accompanied by the glistening lights of Istanbul city in the background.

With our Sunseeker 86 Yacht being part of this premiere, Sunseeker had the largest boat premiering during The Yacht Walk. The Yacht Walk was followed by the inauguration party for the Istanbul Boat Show, offering attending guests a chance to mingle and listen to live music with the Bosphorus as the backdrop.

The Sunseeker presence arrives in Portugal at a very exciting time for Vilamoura Marina with the recent  launch of a new €1 Billion Master Plan for development in the destination. With an area of 1,700 hectares, eight times the size of Monaco, Vilamoura is one of the Algarve’s largest leisure developments and one of Portugal’s most important travel destinations. new Master Plan offers 18 development projects which are development ready across six lifestyle themes including Vilamoura Marina, Vilamoura Golf, Vilamoura Active, Vilamoura Estates and Vilamoura Lakes which reflect the diverse offering coming to the destination

The transformation will include the development of a new and iconic international Yacht Club, branded spa and gym, along with restaurants and a boutique shopping experience, all  a short walk away for nearby berth holders, visiting boaters and the new Sunseeker facilities.

Sunseeker Portugal, will enter into the marina as a commercial partner, working very closely with the master developers Vilamoura World and their management team to create opportunities for both parties.

The expansion into Portugal for the Sunseeker London Group comes at a time when the economy is showing signs of growth, with a number of new boat sales over the past year to Portuguese nationals. The Portuguese government has re-instated the ‘golden visa’ scheme which has so far brought €1.46bn of investment in the country. In addition the non habitual tax regime continues to provide beneficial income tax rates for non-Portuguese nationals. These schemes create great opportunities for a brand like Sunseeker with a number of wealthy international clients making Portugal their destination of choice, providing a more positive outlook across the whole Portuguese marine industry.

Sunseeker London hosted the annual Mayfair Luxury Party at their fantastic showroom in Mayfair, W1. Inviting guests from London and afar and welcoming clients from partner brands, Sunseeker London enjoyed a festive and luxurious evening with around 200 guests.

Demand for the 131 Yacht is already extremely high with the first five already sold. Exclusive pictures released earlier  this year revealed the sumptuous quality and attention to detail that have gone into this innovative new tae on Sunseeker’s proven superyacht platform.  A standout feature is the addition of feature glass in the Master Stateroom, Saloon and Upper Saloon to create a light filled, relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable environment for owner and guests.

The 131 Yacht enables its owner to tailor every element of the interior design and layout to their personal preferences via Sunseeker’s unique ‘Bespoke’ service. Standard guest configuration is for ten guests in five cabins, with scope for up to 12 to be accommodated depending on the layout and options selected. The spacious garage can accommodate a tender of up to 6.0m in length plus two PWCs. Based on the classic Sunseeker deep V hull, this large tri-deck yacht is equally comfortable operating at 10 knots for an extended cruising range of 1,500 nautical miles or at 23 knots for ultimate performance. Build time for each new 131 Yacht is around one year, with capacity in place to have up to five yachts in build simultaneously.

True to boat show form, Sunseeker will dazzle the crowds with not only a brand new model to the 2016 range of boats, but also by introducing some very special A-list celerity guests. Sunseeker is delighted to announce that award-winning British actor Hugh Bonneville, and stylish singers, The Overtones, will be their special guests at this year’s London Boat Show on Friday 8^th January.

Hugh, who is best known for playing Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham in the ITV period drama series Downton Abbey, will be opening the stand with founder, Robert Braithwaite CBE DL

The Overtones are a vocal harmony group made up of five band members, discovered by a Warner Bros. Records’ talent scout who propelled the band to fame with the re-release of their debut album Good Ol’ Fashioned Love in 2011 as it reached number four in the album charts.

The Sunseeker London Group have enjoyed a great weekend entertaining the crowds at the London International Boat Show. Joined by their teams from across Europe, the Sunseeker stand was busy with activity including the arrival of the highly anticipated 131 Yacht.

The Sunseeker London Group is also pleased to announced the launch of their new RYA Training Academy to deliver boat handling and navigation courses for new owners and prospective boat owners. James Brooke from The James Brooke Academy will be at the show, is a Yachtmaster Instructor, former Royal Marine Commando and served 7 years on the RNLI Leamington lifeboat.

Sunseeker International has won the award for Best Sportscruiser over 45ft at the 2016 Motor Boat Awards. The award was given to Sunseeker’s hugely popular new three-cabin Predator 57 model, which was officially launched in January 2015.

Dubbed the “Oscars of the motor boat world”, the Motor Boat Awards shortlist includes every boat tested by Motorboat & Yachting Magazine during 2015, across eight main categories. Members of Sunseeker’s senior team – including CEO Phil Popham – were present to collect the award at a gala ceremony in London’s Rosewood Hotel.

The judging panel made the following comments on presenting the award: “Our winner combines exciting looks with generous living spaces, transformative features, top-notch quality and barn-storming performance.”
